Using LeadLens
Sessions & replay
Every identified visit is recorded so you can play it back like a screencast and see exactly what your contact looked at — with country, region, and city when geo is on.
What counts as a session
A session starts when an identified visitor — or an anonymous one, if you've turned that on — loads any page on your site. It ends when one of these happens:
- They close the tab (or navigate away from your domain).
- The session has been running for more than 60 minutes (hard cap). After that the tracker quietly starts a fresh session on the next interaction.
Every session has a start time, an end time, an identity (contact or anonymous visitor), and the list of pages they visited. If you've enabled visitor location, it also carries a country / region / city.
The replay player
Click any session in the dashboard to open the replay. The player gives you:
- Play, pause, scrub. Speeds of 1x, 2x, and 4x.
- A pageview timeline so you can jump straight to the moment they hit a specific page.
- The AI insight panel on the right with intent, summary, and recommended next step.
What gets recorded, and what doesn't
Recording is privacy-conservative on purpose:
- All input fields are masked. Text in inputs, text areas, and editable fields is replaced with asterisks at capture time. Passwords, emails, and form data never leave the browser.
- Mouse movement is sampled. Enough to give you a sense of where their attention went, without bloating the recording.
- Network requests aren't recorded. Just what was on screen.
Live updates
While a session is in progress, you can watch it unfold in real time from /live. See Live dashboard for the details. When the session ends, it moves to the contact's history with the AI insight attached.
Retention
We keep your sessions for the lifetime of your workspace. If you need a shorter retention window for compliance reasons, email us and we'll set it up.
